Zoho Kenya Country Head Veerakumar Natarajan addresses participants during Zoholics Kenya 2026 in Nairobi on July 22, 2026, where Zoho announced a partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to accelerate digital transformation among SMEs.
NAIROBI, July 22, 2026 — Global technology company Zoho has partnered with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to accelerate digital transformation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by expanding access to affordable business technology, digital skills training and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered solutions.
Speaking during a media briefing at Zoholics Kenya 2026 in Nairobi, Zoho Kenya Country Head Veerakumar Natarajan said the partnership is intended to help Kenyan businesses embrace digital technologies that improve efficiency, productivity and long-term competitiveness.
“We have recorded a 55 per cent revenue growth in Kenya, driven by businesses embracing digital transformation. Through this partnership with KNCCI, we want to give SMEs the opportunity to access technology, build digital skills and confidently begin their digital transformation journey,” said Natarajan.
He said eligible KNCCI members will receive Sh65,000 worth of Zoho Wallet Credits, which they can use to access the company’s portfolio of more than 60 cloud-based business applications covering accounting, customer relationship management, finance, collaboration, human resources and other business operations.
Natarajan explained that the initiative is designed to lower the cost of adopting digital technologies by allowing businesses to explore and implement software solutions before making long-term financial commitments.
Besides the technology credits, members will receive onboarding support, product training and continuous capacity-building programmes to ensure they maximise the benefits of the digital tools.
He noted that the partnership will also facilitate workshops, awareness campaigns and knowledge-sharing forums aimed at increasing digital adoption among SMEs while promoting the use of AI to improve business performance and innovation.
Natarajan said Kenya remains one of Zoho’s fastest-growing markets, with the company recording a 55 per cent increase in revenue in 2025 compared to the previous year, adding more than 2,000 new customers while maintaining an annual customer retention rate of about 90 per cent.
He attributed the growth to increasing demand for integrated digital platforms, particularly among businesses in the financial services, manufacturing, insurance, information technology and telecommunications sectors, adding that organisations are increasingly seeking unified software solutions to manage customer relations, accounting, collaboration and operations from a single platform.
The Country Head said Zoho’s strategy in Kenya goes beyond selling software by investing in local partnerships, digital enablement initiatives and customer support to ensure businesses successfully adopt technology while safeguarding data privacy and security.
Charles Gitau, Director for Human Resource at the KNCCI Nairobi Board, welcomed the partnership, saying it addresses a long-standing technology gap that has limited digital adoption among many SMEs, particularly businesses operating in the informal sector.
“The Chamber has always supported businesses through advocacy, networking and financial literacy, but we recognised the need for stronger technology support. This partnership gives our members, especially smaller enterprises, access to digital tools that many could not previously afford,” said Gitau.
He said the collaboration will also help introduce AI technologies to young entrepreneurs, who make up a significant proportion of Kenya’s SME sector, enabling them to improve productivity, develop innovative business solutions and compete effectively in an increasingly digital economy.
Gitau noted that by combining affordable technology with practical training, the partnership will empower enterprises at different levels of business growth to modernise their operations and improve resilience.
The partnership also provides KNCCI members with opportunities to participate in joint marketing campaigns, educational programmes and digital skills initiatives that will showcase the role of technology in supporting sustainable business growth.
Zoho, which was founded in 1996, serves more than 150 million users worldwide through over 60 cloud-based business applications spanning nearly every business function.
The company says its continued investment in strategic partnerships and digital enablement initiatives reflects its commitment to strengthening Africa’s business ecosystem and supporting the growth of SMEs through accessible, secure and locally relevant technology solutions.
