Fresh allegations have emerged against former Mamlaka Hill Chapel Bishop Charles Ng’ang’a, adding to the controversy surrounding his exit from the church.
The latest claims involve a 28-year-old woman identified as Monica, who is alleged to have worked as the cleric’s masseuse before receiving financial support for her training and later securing employment at the church.
Sources familiar with the allegations claim Monica was first employed in the church kitchen before being promoted to receptionist, with the alleged relationship continuing during the period.
The claims raise questions about the nature of the relationship and whether the woman’s employment and career progression were linked to her alleged personal involvement with the bishop. The allegations have not been independently verified.
Ng’ang’a has also faced scrutiny over disputed claims involving romantic messages allegedly sent to a former personal assistant, whose husband reportedly brought the matter before church elders.
The controversies have placed the former bishop under public scrutiny, particularly given the position of trust and spiritual authority he held within the church.
Ng’ang’a is separately challenging his dismissal at the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Milimani, where he is seeking about Sh21 million in damages over what he describes as an unfair disciplinary process and the revocation of his ordination.
The church’s disciplinary action reportedly ended his tenure, which was said to come with a monthly salary of about Sh1.2 million.
The court case remains pending, and the allegations surrounding the former bishop have yet to be determined.
